ROSSBURG, Ohio (June 11) — After hearing that Brandon Overton had spun a zero on Eldora Speedway’s casino-style inversion wheel at the conclusion of Friday’s Dream XXVI preliminary night program, Jonathan Davenport summed up Overton’s trip to Eldora’s double Dirt Late Model Dreams quite succinctly.

ROSSBURG, Ohio (June 11) — The results of Saturday night’s Dirt Late Model Dream XXVI at Eldora Speedway will take a bit longer than usual to be finalized.

Entering Friday’s penultimate round of USAC Indiana Midget Week at Indiana’s Gas City I-69 Speedway, all the chatter revolved around who could step up and carry on the streak that had a different driver and team winning a USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget feature in each of the last eight races, the longest such run of parity since 2009.

Do I want to be a racecar driver? It’s a question that starts and ends racing careers. It’s one of the easiest questions to answer at the beginning, and probably one of life’s most difficult at the end.

ROSSBURG, Ohio (June 10) — After his car weighted in 8 pounds light following his third-place finish in Thursday’s first Dirt Late Model Dream consolation race at Eldora Speedway, Ross Bailes couldn’t decide if he was more disappointed that the resulting disqualification would keep him from starting the night’s 100-lap Dream feature or if because it negated the perseverance the Clover, S.C., driver and his team showed just to get the chance to cross the scales after the 20-lap prelim.

ROSSBURG, Ohio — Kyle Bronson's run during Thursday's Dream XXVII at Eldora Speedway was one of extremes. At times the Brandon, Fla., driver had the fastest car on the track and appeared to be destined to go to the front. At other times he struggled with poor restarts or got out of shape, dropping seemingly out of contention before fighting back again.

A newly-constructed chassis delivered satisfyingly familiar results for Tanner Thorson on Thursday night as the Minden, Nev. native collected his third Lincoln Park Speedway victory in USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget competition during round six of USAC Indiana Midget Week.

The second-ever race in USAC Indiana Midget Week history was held at Gas City I-69 Speedway back in 2005.  On Friday night, June 11, the 1/4-mile dirt oval will serve as the host of the second-from-last race for the USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midgets’ eight-race mini-series.

It has been seven races since Brad Sweet has scored a podium with the World of Outlaws, but his closest pursuers haven’t been able to consistently take advantage.

ROSSBURG, Ohio (June 9) — Jonathan Davenport and Brandon Overton just wanted to use Wednesday’s Dream XXVII preliminary program at Eldora Speedway as a tuneup for Thursday’s 100-lap, $127,000-to-win finale. Winning the 25-lap features would be gravy.
