The sport of drag racing is getting a boost in 2024 as the first PRO Superstar Shootout debuts at Bradenton Motorsports Park in February.

Elite Motorsports Pro Stock dynamo Erica Enders clinched her sixth NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series Pro Stock world championship in the opening round of the In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals at famed In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip. Enders, the Winningest Woman in Motorsports, secured her championship when she defeated her Elite Motorsports teammate Fernando Cuadra Sr. with a pass of 6.502 seconds at 210.80 mph.

When Pro Stock star Jeg Coughlin Jr. stepped back from driving in 2020, he left the door open a crack, telling Drag Illustrated that he would consider coming back if the right opportunity presented itself. And now it has. The fan-favorite driver with six world championships to his credit is returning to the track to compete in a new RJ Race Cars Pro Stock Camaro thanks to the support of SCAG Power Equipment.

ENNIS, Texas -- Five-time NHRA Pro Stock world champion Erica Enders made history Sunday as she became the winningest female driver in NHRA history. The fan-favorite driver earned her 47th career national event win at the Texas NHRA FallNationals to reach this milestone accomplishment in front of a home-state crowd at Texas Motorplex behind the wheel of her Johnson’s Horsepowered Garage / Melling Performance / SCAG Power Equipment Camaro.
