Weekly Preview: NASCAR Roots On FloRacing (May 20-22)

In 2022, FloRacing has become the home of all things NASCAR Roots racing, from the ARCA Menards Series, to the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, to the NASCAR Pinty’s Series in Canada, and a multitude of weekly tracks. Now that the racing season is in full swing, we wanted to make sure that you, the fans, are completely up to speed on what is racing each week under the NASCAR Roots banner on FloRacing.

Friday

Big Block Modifieds at Autodrome Granby – Quebec’s Autodrome Granby has Big Block Modifieds on the schedule for the first time in 2022 this week. The ground-pounders will race 40 laps around Autodrome Granby. They’ll be joined on the schedule by the Sportsman and Pro Stocks. Racing is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. ET.

Saturday

NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour at Lee USA Speedway – The Modified Tour is back in action for the second week in a row, and this time they’re in the Granite State for the inaugural Granite State Derby. It’s the first time the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour is racing at the extremely abrasive Lee USA Speedway in more than 20 years. The green flag is scheduled to wave at 7 p.m. ET.

Double Features at LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway – The Late Models and Sportsman divisions will both run double features Saturday night. The Late Models will run two 20-lap shows, while the Sportsman division will run two 15-lap races with other divisions on the card as well. Racing is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT.

Super Late Models at Berlin Raceway – The always entertaining Berlin Raceway in Marne, Michigan has Super Late Models back on the schedule as the Money In The Bank 150 looms ever larger in the windshield. The green flag is set to fly at 4 p.m. ET.

Late Models and Modifieds at Jennerstown Speedway – Pennsylvania’s half-mile Jennerstown Speedway will see Late Models, Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Street Stocks, Chargers and much more in action Saturday night. Racing is set for 6 p.m. ET from the big half-mile oval.

Modifieds at Riverhead Raceway – The 2022 season officially begins this weekend at Long Island’s Riverhead Raceway for most of the track’s divisions. The headlining NASCAR Modifieds will race for 50 laps, and the Late Models will race for 40 circuits around the challenging quarter-mile bullring. The first green flag is scheduled to wave at 6 p.m. ET.

Twin Late Model Stock Car Features at Hickory Motor Speedway – The “Birthplace of the NASCAR Stars” will give the drivers of the Late Model Stock Car division two 40-lap races to make their names known. Limited Late Models, Street Stocks, Super Trucks and Renegades are also on the schedule with racing scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. ET.

Modifieds at Langley Speedway – With the Late Model Stock Cars taking the weekend off, the open-wheel Modifieds are the stars this weekend at the Virginia shore’s Langley Speedway. Limited Late Models, Grand Stocks and Super Trucks will join the Modifieds on the schedule. Racing is set to begin at 7 p.m. ET.

Twin Late Model Stock Car Features at South Boston Speedway – The “Home of Big Events” will see the headlining Late Model Stock Car division run two 75-lap features as Peyton Sellers and Layne Riggs chase the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series national championship. Racing is set to begin at 7 p.m. ET.

Twin Features at Florence Motor Speedway – South Carolina’s Florence Motor Speedway will run twin features in every division this weekend. That means 14 features are on the schedule with the first green flag set to wave at 4:30 p.m. ET.

Modifieds, Chain Races, Demo Derby and More at Bowman Gray Stadium – The “Madhouse” is back in action with Modifieds, Sportsman, Street Stocks and Stadium Stocks all in action, plus it’s Night of Destruction! A demolition derby, a chain race and a skid race are all on the schedule. The first green flag will wave at 8 p.m. ET.

Pro Late Models at Meridian Speedway – Pro Late Models will headline the evening at Boise, Idaho’s Meridian Speedway. They’ll be joined by the Mini Stocks, Bombers and much more in what is promising to be a jam-packed night of action at Meridian. The first green flag is scheduled to wave at 8:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. CT.

Pro Late Models at Evergreen Speedway – Monroe, Washington’s Evergreen Speedway will have the always entertaining door-to-door racing from the Pro Late Model division headline a packed night of racing. Street Stocks, Midgets, Vintage Modifieds and Figure 8 racing are also on the schedule with racing set to begin at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.

Sunday

NASCAR Pinty’s Series at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park – Fresh off a thrilling finish at Ontario’s Sunset Speedway last week, the NASCAR Pinty’s Series will make left and right turns for the first time this season at the legendary Canadian Tire Motorsports Park. The green flag is set to fly at 1:30 p.m. ET.
