For the second year in a row, Dale Earnhardt Jr. will be racing in the South Carolina 400 at Florence Motor Speedway on November 18, Earnhardt  announced Tuesday afternoon.

Earnhardt will race a Bass Pro Shops sponsored No. 3 car prepared by JR Motorsports and will be a teammate to Carson Kvapil.

The NASCAR Hall of Famer’s participation in this year’s South Carolina 400 marks Earnhardt’s fourth race at Florence since last November. Earnhardt finished ninth in last year’s SC 400 and competed in this year’s Icebreaker in February, as well as the inaugural Locked-In 150 in August.

Earnhardt has made it clear over the last year that Florence Motor Speedway, a track he used to race at frequently before moving into the NASCAR Xfinity Series and Cup Series, holds a special place in his heart.

Helping grow short track racing has become a goal of Earnhardt’s over the last couple of years between his participation in races at Florence Motor Speedway and becoming a part-owner of the CARS Tour. Earnhardt, along with Jeff Burton, Kevin Harvick, and Justin Marks, became the new owners of the CARS Tour in late 2022.

The South Carolina 400 at Florence Motor Speedway will take place on Saturday, November 18 and will be streamed live on FloRacing to FloRacing subscribers. Fans can subscribe to FloRacing by clicking here.
