Bobby McCarty Breaks Long CARS Tour Winless Drought In Dominion Thriller
Three-time CARS Tour champion Bobby McCarty ended a winless drought that dated back to October of 2021 on Saturday at Dominion Raceway.
Saturday's CARS Tour 125 at Virginia's Dominion Raceway will go down as one of the most memorable races in CARS Tour history. A three-way battle for the lead between Brenden Queen, Carson Kvapil, and Bobby McCarty resulted in a photo-finish at the checkered flag after a crazy three-wide fight with all three drivers bouncing off each other down Dominion's backstretch. In the end it was McCarty beating Queen to the line by just 0.009-second to break a winless streak that dated back to October of 2021.
Winning Quote From Dominion Raceway
"It means I ain't over yet. I'm not done. I can still get the job done. This team is more than capable of it. We have really great people. I think of a lot of stuff in my mind and for whatever reason it never plays out, but it does on the race track. I could see (Queen) was running (Kvapil) up. I had a really good run coming out of two. I knew if I was going to do it I had to do it out of two. They gave me just enough room to make it work." - Bobby McCarty
