The CARS Tour returns to North Wilkesboro Speedway on Wednesday, May 17 as part of NASCAR's All-Star Week at the historic race track. A full field of Late Model Stock Cars and Pro Late Models will be in action. 

What Is The CARS Tour?

The Championship Auto Racing Series (CARS) is a Late Model touring series that competes at race tracks in North Carolina, Virginia and South Carolina.

The CARS Tour is currently owned by prominent motorsports figures Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Kevin Harvick, Jeff Burton and Justin Marks. Jack McNelly, the previous owner and founder, currently oversees operations and events. 

Throughout its history, the series has been known by a variety of names including the USARacing Hooters Pro Cup, CARS Pro Cup Series, Rev-Oil Pro Cup Series and CARS X1-R Pro Cup Series. In 2014, the series transitioned to a two-division series with Late Model Stock Cars and Super Late Models. The Super Late Model division was discontinued in 2021 and replaced with Pro Late Models for the 2022 season. 

Who's Racing CARS Tour at North Wilkesboro?

A full field of 38 Late Model Stock Cars will be competing in Wednesday's race. The entry includes Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and NASCAR Cup Series stars Kevin Harvick, Ross Chastain, Daniel Suarez, Chase Briscoe, Brad Keselowski and Harrison Burton. Defending CARS Tour Late Model Stock Car champion Carson Kvapil is also the defending winner of the race. 

A field of 50 CARS Tour Pro Late Models will also be in action with road course star Jordan Taylor (Rodney Sandstorm) headlining the entry list.

  • 9:45 p.m. - ASA STARS National Tour Feature (150 Laps)
