It all comes down to Toledo.

The 2022 ARCA Menards Series champion will be crowned Saturday afternoon when Nick Sanchez and Daniel Dye compete in the Shore Lunch 200 at Toledo Speedway.

The race serves as the finale of the 20-event 2022 ARCA Menards Series schedule and will be the 82nd visit by the series to the half-mile paved oval.

Sanchez enters the Shore Lunch 200 with a two-point advantage on Dye in the ARCA Menards Series standings. Dye has used finishes of third at Salem Speedway last weekend and fifth at Bristol Motor Speedway on Sept. 15 to significantly close the gap on Sanchez entering the Toledo finale. Sanchez, meanwhile, finished sixth at Salem and 12th at Bristol.

The ARCA Menards Series made its first visit to Toledo in 1963, when series legend Iggy Katona triumphed. The track, located near the ARCA Menards Series home base in Toledo, Ohio, has seen a variety of drivers visit Victory Lane through the years. They include the aforementioned Katona, Jack Bowsher, Benny Parsons, Ramo Stott, Bill Venturini, Bob Keselowski, Bobby Bowsher, Frank Kimmel, Ken Schrader, Michael McDowell, Justin Allgaier, Parker Kligerman, Chris Buescher, Todd Gilliland, Harrison Burton, Sam Mayer and, most recently, Ty Gibbs.

Tickets to the Shore Lunch 200 are now available. Below is everything to know about Saturday’s event.

The last time the ARCA Menards Series crowned a champion at Toledo Speedway was in 2011, when Ty Dillon locked up his lone series championship at the fast half-mile paved oval.

Fast-forward more than 10 years, and the ARCA Menards Series will once again crown a champion at Toledo. This time it will either be Sanchez or Dye who celebrate an ARCA Menards Series championship.

While those two drivers battle for a championship, a second title will also be decided Saturday afternoon. The No. 18 Kyle Busch Motorsports team currently leads the No. 20 Venturini Motorsports team in the ARCA Menards Series owner standings by one point. Sammy Smith, who has won a season-high five races, will once again be in the No. 18 for KBM while Jesse Love returns to the No. 20 Toyota for Venturini at Toledo.

Grant Enfinger, current NASCAR Camping World Truck Series competitor and the 2015 ARCA Menards Series champion, makes his return to ARCA Menards Series competition for the first time since 2018. He’ll be aboard the No. 44 Ford fielded by Jeff McClure as he chases his 17th career ARCA triumph.

Returning for his third ARCA Menards Series start of the season, Landon Pembelton will be back in the No. 15 Toyota for Venturini Motorsports. In addition to Love and Pembelton, Venturini will also field entries for Toni Breidinger and Morgen Baird.

Taylor Gray will again be back in the No. 17 Ford for David Gilliland Racing in search of his fourth victory of the season. Andy Jankowiak is set for his seventh start of the season, Matthew Gould is back for his second start of the year in the No. 40 for Niece Motorsports, and Jeffery MacZink will be back in the family No. 65 for Toledo.

Series regulars Rajah Caruth, Greg Van Alst, Amber Balcaen, Zachary Tinkle, Brad Smith and Alex Clubb are all expected to compete. Other expected competitors include Brandon Varney, Amber Slagle and A.J. Moyer, among others.
