VERNON, N.Y. -- In his first trip to Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Mobil 1 victory lane since Ohio Sprint Speedweek, Monrovia, Indiana’s Justin Peck let it all hang out on Saturday night at Utica-Rome Speedway in Vernon, New York, ultimately capping the evening with not only his fifth Series triumph of the season, but also a $10,000 payday. In addition, it was Peck’s first-ever All Star win in the Empire State.

Utilizing an early wave of heavy lapped traffic, Peck took command of the 30-lap Tri-State Summer Swing presented by Elliott’s Custom Trailers and Carts program on lap ten, using the track’s narrow, but delicate cushion to power around defending All Star champion, Tyler Courtney, as well as Friday night Outlaw Speedway winner, Brent Marks. The two-for-one pass in turns three and four allowed Peck to eventually stretch his legs, racing on to withstand a pair of single-file restarts, the result of back-to-back cautions on lap 18, and a final wave of traffic; the final margin of victory pushed just beyond four seconds.

Tyler Courtney battled on to finish second at Utica-Rome Speedway, followed by Brent Marks, Chris Windom, and Cory Eliason.

“We had this thing really hooked up tonight…I could go anywhere I wanted. This thing always seems to come to life with about ten laps into it,” Justin Peck said, driver of the Buch Motorsports/Coastal Race Parts/No. 13 sprint car. “I just can’t thank everyone enough. We have so much support behind this team and they allow us to get up and down the road, and it gives us a chance to go out and win these big races. Tom Buch has an awesome team and I’m just lucky enough to be a part of it.”

Peck, who is currently second in the All Star driver championship chase, now owns ten All Star victories over the course of his career, all of which occurring at different facilities.

Weekend action will then conclude with a one-night stop at Weedsport Speedway in Weedsport, New York, on Sunday, August 21. The events will award $10,000 and $8,000, respectively.
