Pit Box: NASCAR Pinty's Series Heads East To Newfoundland Short Track
News and notes ahead of Saturday's Pro-Line 225 for the NASCAR Pinty's Series at Newfoundland's Eastbound International Speedway
The NASCAR Pinty’s Series heads to Newfoundland and Labrador for its first race at Eastbound International Speedway in Avondale.
Twenty-two cars are entered for 225 laps around the 3/8-mile oval. The event marks a first for the series, as team haulers have already begun the long journey to Sydney, Nova Scotia to catch the ferry to Newfoundland.
D.J. Kennington is the only driver in the series to have experience at Eastbound, but two local drivers, Brandon McFarlane and Sara Thorne will also be joining the field as well.
You can’t count our last race winner, Andrew Ranger, or his teammate Marc-Antoine Camirand, as they continue to prove they are dominant on ovals.
