Five Prop Bets For The Dirt Late Model Dream

The second running of the Eldora Million may be over, but that doesn't mean the fun is done at Eldora Speedway. On Friday and Saturday night, the second-richest dirt late model race of the year will be held with the 28th running of the Dirt Late Model Dream.

Make your prop bets for the crown jewel event below and verify your pick for a chance to win a FloRacing subscription.

Bet #1 - Which Brandon will finish better: Brandon Overton or Brandon Sheppard?

Analysis: Brandon Overton swept the Dirt Late Model Dream weekend one year ago and collected over a quarter million dollars. While Overton still remains a favorite to win, he'll be looking to bounce back after not qualifying for Thursday's Eldora Million. Sheppard did qualify for the Eldora Million but went a lap down to eventual winner Jonathan Davenport. However, Sheppard bounced back and ripped the top of the race track to eventually get his lap back before smacking the wall off of turn four late in the race. Both Brandons will be hungry for a strong performance on Friday and Saturday.

Bet #2 - Will there be a first-time Dirt Late Model Dream winner?

Analysis: If you look at the history of the Dirt Late Model Dream, the odds are in favor of a first-time race winner. Brandon Overton became a first-time Dirt Late Model Dream winner one year ago. Before that, Brandon Sheppard became a first-time race winner in 2019. The only repeat winners over the last 10 years have been Scott Bloomquist and Brandon Overton's sweep in 2021.

Bet #3 - Will Scott Bloomquist qualify for the Dirt Late Model Dream?

Analysis: No driver has experienced more success in the Dirt Late Model Dream than Bloomquist. He's an eight-time race winner, with his last victory coming during the 2018 season. Bloomquist failed to qualify for Thursday's Eldora Million and will be hungry to get back to victory lane at his favorite race track.

Bet #4 - Which Chris will finish better: Ferguson or Madden?

Analysis: Both Ferguson and Madden has strong runs on Thursday during the Eldora Million. Ferguson won his preliminary race before finishing fifth in the main event. Madden charged from his 19th starting position to battle Jonathan Davenport for the win on a late-race restart and eventually finished second.

Bet #5 - Will Jonathan Davenport complete the weekend sweep?

Analysis: Eldora Speedway has become Jonathan Davenport's playground in recent years. His million-dollar victory on Thursday night helped solidify the Rossburg, Ohio race track as his home away from home. "Superman" has seven major event victories at Eldora since 2015 and will be a favorite to make it eight on Saturday night.
