Weekly Preview: NASCAR Roots On FloRacing (May 27-28)

In 2022, FloRacing has become the home of all things NASCAR Roots racing, from the ARCA Menards Series, to the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, to the NASCAR Pinty’s Series in Canada, and a multitude of weekly tracks. Now that the racing season is in full swing, we wanted to make sure that you, the fans, are completely up to speed on what is racing each week under the NASCAR Roots banner on FloRacing.

Friday

Big Blocks at Autodrome Granby – Big Block Modifieds are back in action at the Autodrome Granby in Quebec on Friday night. The groundpounders will roar around Granby for 50 laps in a sail panel special event. They will be joined on the schedule by the Sportsman Modifieds, Pro Stocks and Sport Compacts. Racing is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. ET.

Saturday

NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour at Jennerstown Speedway – The cars and stars of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour are in action for a third week in a row for their only visit to the Quaker State in 2022. Defending champion Justin Bonsignore has found trouble two weeks in a row, but is heading to a track at which he is the defending winner from one year ago. Four local divisions including Late Models will also be in action. The first green flag is scheduled to wave at 5 p.m. ET with the green flag for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour currently scheduled to wave at 8 p.m. ET.

NASCAR Modifieds at Riverhead Raceway – The NASCAR Modifieds will headline eight divisions of racing on Saturday at the Long Island bullring. The Modifieds will race for 50 laps for the second week in a row with defending champion Kyle Soper looking for his second straight win. Crate Modifieds, Legends, Street Stocks, Blunderbusts, Bandoleros, an Enduro and a School Bus Figure 8 race are all on the schedule as well. The first green flag is set to wave at 6 p.m. ET.

 Money in the Bank Qualifier at Berlin Raceway – As the Money in the Bank 150 looms ever larger in the distance, the second and final qualifying race will take place this Saturday at Marne, Michigan’s Berlin Raceway for the Super Late Models. Limited Late Models and Sportsman will also be on the schedule. Racing is scheduled to begin at 6:15 p.m. ET.

Modifieds and Sportsman at Bowman Gray Stadium – It’s always a madhouse at Bowman Gray Stadium, and especially when the Sportsman division runs an extra distance race which they will do this Saturday when they race for 100 laps. The Street Stocks will also have an extra distance for 50 laps. The Modifieds will of course be in action, as will the Stadium Stocks. Racing will begin at 8 p.m. ET.

Late Models at LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway – Late Models will headline a five-division night at Wisconsin’s LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway. The Sportsmen, Hornets, Hobby Stocks and Street Stocks will all be in action as well. Racing is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT.

Weekly Racing at Evergreen Speedway – Legends, Mini Stocks, Hornets and more will be in action at Monroe, Washington’s Evergreen Speedway this Saturday night. The first green flag is scheduled to wave at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.

Late Models at Alaska Raceway Park – For the second time this season the Late Models will be in action at the beautiful Alaska Raceway Park. They’ll be joined by Baby Grands, Legends, Thunder Stocks and Bomber Stocks. Racing is scheduled to begin at 10 p.m. ET/ 6 p.m. AKDT.
