Weekly Preview: NASCAR Roots On FloRacing (April 29-30)

In 2022, FloRacing has become the home of all things NASCAR Roots racing, from the ARCA Menards Series to the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, to weekly racing at Bowman Gray Stadium, Berlin Raceway and beyond. Now that the racing season is fully underway, we wanted to make sure you, the fans, are completely up to speed on what is racing each week under the NASCAR Roots banner on FloRacing. 

FRIDAY

ARCA Menards Series East at Dover Motor Speedway 

The ARCA Menards Series East is back in action for their third race of 2022, and first at a track larger than a half-mile in length. The series will run for 125 laps around the Monster Mile. Green flag is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. ET.

Must See Sprints at South Boston Speedway 

Virginia’s South Boston Speedway is the home of Sprint Car racing in the Southeast this weekend. The winged Must See Sprint Cars will be in action on Friday and Saturday night this weekend. On Friday night, they will be joined by the USAC Eastern Midgets, Limited Sportsman, Pure Stocks and Hornets. Racing will begin at 8 p.m. ET on Friday. 

SATURDAY

Twin 25-Lap Modified Features at Bowman Gray Stadium 

The Madhouse is back in action for its second week of racing on Saturday night. The headlining Modified division will run two 25-lap features, and will be joined in action by the Sportsman, Street Stocks, Stadium Stocks and the always entertaining chain race. The first race is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. ET.

Twin Modified Features at Langley Speedway 

Virginia’s Langley Speedway will have the Modifieds headline their racing action this Saturday night with twin features. Limited Late Models, Grand Stocks, UCARS, Legends, Bandoleros and Enduros will all be in action. Racing is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. ET.

Twin Late Model Features at Hickory Motor Speedway 

The Late Model Stock Cars will be in action for two 40-lap features at “The Birthplace of the NASCAR Stars” on Saturday night. They will be joined on the racing card by the Limited Late Models who will race for 50 laps, plus the Street Stocks, Super Trucks and Renegades. Racing will begin at 7 p.m. ET.

Must See Sprints at South Boston Speedway 

On Saturday, the Must See Sprint Cars will be joined by the USAC Eastern Midgets once again, plus two 75-lap features for the Late Model Stock Cars, Vintage Modifieds and two 20-lap Sportsman features. Racing will begin at 7 p.m. ET.

Modifieds at Meridian Speedway 

Boise, Idaho’s bullring Meridian Speedway is in action on Saturday night. The Modifieds will headline the night and will be joined by the Street Stocks, Mini Stocks, Hornets and Pro 4s. Racing will begin at 8:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. MT.

Weekly Divisions at Evergreen Speedway 

Monroe, Washington’s multi-use Evergreen Speedway will be racing on Saturday night with five divisions on the schedule. The Hornets, Vintage Modifieds and Stinger 8s will all go for 30 laps while the Youth Hornets will race for 20 laps. Street Stocks will also be in action. Racing is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.

Weekly Divisions at Berlin Raceway 

Michigan’s quirky Berlin Raceway will be in action for the second time in 2022 on Saturday night. Limited Late Models are the headlining division on Saturday. Racing is scheduled to get underway at 4 p.m. ET.
