Big money will be on the line for both the Southern All Star Racing Series Late Models and SCDRA Compacts this weekend at Screven Motor Speedway. The traditional early-season event will provide a variety of racing action on Friday and Saturday, with eight divisions of racing on the schedule.

The richest race of the weekend will be Saturday's $18,000-to-win SCDRA main event. For Compact racers, this will be the most lucrative race they'll compete in all year long. SCDRA drivers will participate in time trials on Friday night before competing in qualifying heats and the feature race on Saturday afternoon.

In addition to the big money up for grabs, the 2021 SCDRA championship will also be decided at Winter Freeze XII.

The Southern All Star Racing Series will be in action Saturday at Screven for the first race of the 2022 season. Traditionally, the event attracts many of the top drivers in the Southeast region, as well as a handful of national stars. Saturday's non-points counting race will pay $10,000 to the winner.

Joining the fun at Screven this weekend will be the Renegades of Dirt Open Wheel Modifieds. Renegades of Dirt competitors will race for $2,000 Friday night before the stakes are raised to $3,000 on Sunday. Former NASCAR star Ken Schrader is expected to be one of the Modified drivers in attendance.

The 602 Bandit Series, Street Stocks, Mini Late Models, Road Warriors and Crown Vics will also be in action throughout the weekend.
