Everything You Need to Know: Peach State Classic

The Race

This will be the inaugural edition of the Peach State Classic, an unsanctioned crown jewel event for Super Late Models.

The main event on Saturday, November 13 will be 75 laps and pay $52,052 to the winner -- the largest payout in Senoia Raceway history.

There will also be a 25-lap, $10,000-to-win preliminary race Friday night.

The Track

Senoia Raceway is a 3/8-mile dirt oval owned and operated by the Pollard family. Hence Pollard built the track in 1969 and his son Sonny regained ownership of the facility at the beginning of the 2021 season. In quick time, the Pollard family has made improvements to the facility to prepare it for big events like the Peach State Classic.

The Format

The action will get underway Thursday night with hot laps for Super Late Models and other divisions competing during the weekend.

Friday will feature hot laps, qualifying, heat races. b-mains and a $10,000-to-win feature for Super Late Models.

Everything will reset Saturday and teams will once again participate in hot laps, qualifying, heat races and b-mains to set the field for the 75-lap, $52,052-to-win main event.

Storylines

- There's been no driver hotter at Senoia Raceway than Ashton Winger. With three wins at the track since the beginning of October -- include one World of Outlaws Late Model Series victory and a pair of Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series wins -- he'll be a favorite to win Sunday's main event.

- Hudson O'Neal, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series championship runner-up, will be making the trek to Senoia Raceway for the first time. The rising star and son of Late Model legend Don O'Neal will be looking to add the Peach State Classic to a resume that already includes wins in the Show-Me 100, Topless 100, Jackson 100 and Pittsburgher this season.

- National Late Model star Tyler Erb will return to Senoia Raceway for the first time since the 2018 season when he won a Southern National Bonus Series event. A win on Saturday would be the richest victory of the season for "Terbo."

- Kyle Bronson will be make the trip to Senoia in search of his first win at the track. "The Killer" finished third in the 2020 DirtonDirt.com Shootout at the track.

- Follow a win in the Fall Classic at Whynot Motorsports Park and runner-up finish in the National 100 at East Alabama Motor Speedway, Dennis Erb Jr. will look to end his 2021 season on a high note at Senoia.
