The Super Late Model fast qualifier for Saturday's 45th annual Spring 50 at Florence Speedway in Union, Ky., will receive $500 thanks to a memorial award provided by longtime track supporter Slicker Graphics.

The $500 award is in memory of dedicated race fan Jeff Perry, who passed away unexpectedly earlier this year.

“Jeff was a huge race fan who knew no stranger,” said Michael LeFevers of Slicker Graphics. “When speaking to his wife Lisa, I knew there was no better way to honor Jeff than with this weekend's fast time award.”

Along with the fast qualifier prize, Slicker Graphics is paying $100 to the fourth quickest qualifier and added $200 to the winner's purse in the Crate Late Model, making the event $1,000-to-win.

The Spring 50 pays $10,000-to-win with Super Late Models headlining a card including modifieds and Crate Late Models. Pit gates open at noon with hot laps at 3 p.m. General admission is $25 and the event will be streamed live at FloRacing. Visit florencespeedway.com for more information.
