Day was sixth fastest during the first practice session of the day on Saturday.
2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Larson recently compared Corey Day's skillset to his own behind the wheel of a dirt Sprint Car, and it seems Day will now have the opportunity to hone his skills in NASCAR Regional competition.
Day was recently named the No. 1 prospect in motorsports by a panel of FloRacing staff members in a list of the top 20 drivers under the age of 20.
Fans unable to make it to Hickory on Saturday night will be able to watch Day’s highly-anticipated debut live on FloRacing.
