Hudson O'Neal Reveals New Plans For 2024 Season
Reigning Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series champion Hudson O'Neal has formed a new team.
Hudson O’Neal of Martinsville, Ind., revealed his plans for the remainder of 2024 late Thursday night, announcing the formation of Hudson O’Neal Racing to carry him into the future.
Just over one month since his shocking departure from the seat of the Rocket Chassis house car, the 23-year-old star will debut his new operation utilizing Longhorn Chassis during this weekend’s Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series tripleheader at Georgetown (Del.) Speedway, Hagerstown (Md.) Speedway and Port Royal (Pa.) Speedway. The national tour’s defending champion sits fourth in the current points standings after running the circuit’s only two post-Speedweeks events in a Longhorn car fielded by Kevin Rumley.
“Without all of our amazing sponsors this could have never happened,” O’Neal said in a Facebook post. “I cannot thank all the people enough for backing me to make a dream come true. Being at home and working with the support from my family and friends has truly made this dream a reality. I am so excited to be home and with my family more but also living the best dream.”

O’Neal tuned up for the weekend’s action with some test laps at Paragon (Ind.) Speedway.
