The High Limit Sprint Car Series was formed in 2022 by former NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Larson and multi-time World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion Brad Sweet.  A single race was contested in 2022 at Lincoln Park Speedway, with the first full season being ran in 2023.

The series' inaugural season in 2023 features a 12-race season, with all races being contested on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights.  Races pay anywhere from $23,023 to $50,000 to the winner, with a $120,000 total points fund.  The series champion will receive $30,000.

Who Races The High Limit Sprint Car Series?

It was announced that 26 drivers would compete with the series full-time for the inaugural championship, including Larson.  Some of the other High Rollers included fellow NASCAR Cup Series driver and Hendrick Motorsports teammate Alex Bowman, former USAC champions Rico Abreu and Buddy Kofoid, Pennsylvania Posse favorites Anthony Macri and Danny Dietrich, 2022 King’s Royal winner Brent Marks, and former All Star Circuit of Champions champions Aaron Reutzel and Tyler Courtney.

Which Race Tracks Does The High Limit Sprint Car Series Race At?

The tracks on the inaugural schedule include Tulare Thunderbowl Speedway (CA), Lakeside Speedway (KS), 34 Raceway (IA), Kokomo Speedway (IN), Wayne County Speedway (OH), Tri-City Speedway (IL), Eagle Raceway (NE), Grandview Speedway (PA), Huset’s Speedway (SD), Lernerville Speedway (PA), Bridgeport Motorsports Park (NJ), and Lincoln Park Speedway (IN).  The races at Lakeside Speedway and Lernerville Speedway pay $50,000 to win while the remaining races all pay $23,023 to win.

High Limit Sprint Car Series Dice Roll & Choose Cone

The series introduced the DURST Dice Roll before the season started.  The front row started have the opportunity to roll a pair of dice for their new starting position for the A-Main, and each starting position has its own monetary prize added on top of the total payout.  For example, a roll of six would allow a driver to start sixth for a $6,000 bonus if said driver wins the race, a roll of 12 gives out a bonus of $12,000, and so on.

The Choose Cone also comes into play at all restarts during the A-Main until ten laps are remaining.  Each driver gets to choose which lane they restart in, giving them a chance to improve – or worsen – their position.
