The inaugural season for Kyle Larson and Brad Sweet's High Limit Sprint Car Series is officially underway. Following a thrilling open to the 2023 High Limit Sprint Car Series schedule at Lakeside Speedway, drivers and teams now shift their focus to the second race of the season at 34 Raceway on Tuesday, April 25.

What Is The High Limit Sprint Car Series?

The High Limit Sprint Car Series is a Sprint Car touring series founded by NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Larson and World of Outlaws Sprint Car champion Brad Sweet in 2022. After promoting a single event, the High Limit Open at Lincoln Park Speedway last August, the inaugural season will be contested in 2023.

Larson and Sweet founded the series with the goal of providing Sprint Car racers with more opportunities to cash in on big prizes. Every High Limit race in 2023 will feature a purse that includes a minimum of $23,023 to win, with two events offering whopping $50,000 paydays.

Additionally, every event on the schedule will be a mid-week event held on Tuesday or Wednesday night.

What To Expect At 34 Raceway

  • After opening the season at the 4/10-mile oval at Lakeside Speedway, the High Limit Sprint Car Series is going bullring racing at the semi-banked 3/8-mile oval at 34 Raceway.
  • The second race of the season will pay $23,023 to the winner of the main event.
  • A star-studded field including the 26 full-time drivers are expected to be in action.
  • Four-time World of Outlaws Sprint Car champion Brad Sweet will not be competing in the event, but he will be in attendance as the race promoter and working to put on a great event for fans and drivers alike.
  • A recent IRA Sprint Car event at the track provided a teaser of the exciting racing action we could see at 34 Raceway. Hunter Schuerenberg, a full-time High Limit driver, won the race with a last-lap pass.
  • Since the season opener took place at Lakeside Speedway, there's been a lot of talk about the choose cone that the High Limit Sprint Car Series is using to decide restart lineups. Keep an eye on this to see how the strategy unfolds in race number two.
