Jason McDougal Announces Retirement From Professional Racing
Jason McDougal announced his retirement from racing with a social media post on Wednesday night.
Jason McDougal announced his retirement from professional racing Wednesday night via a post on his Twitter account.
"The past five years of my life I've been able to live my dream in racing," McDougal said. "Times change, and we grow older and move onto different things in life, and that's where I am."

McDougal, a standout driving various cars on the USAC National Sprint Car Series, had been competing for KO Motorsports this past year and to begin the season. He currently sits 14th in USAC National Sprint Car points and has two career USAC feature wins. A multi-time golden driller winner at the Tulsa Shootout, McDougal rose to stardom through the micro racing ranks, driving and working on cars with his family business Factor1 Chassis.
With his driving career coming to an end, McDougal plans to return to his roots building chassis again.
"For the time being I will be retiring from racing professionally with my focus shifting to building frames and having something consistent in life."
