Tim McCreadie Returns To Modified Roots This Weekend
Two-time defending Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series champion Tim McCreadie will compete in Saturday's Short Track Super Series race at Hagerstown Speedway.
Tim McCreadie is returning to his roots and racing a Big-Block Modified this weekend at Hagerstown Speedway. The two-time defending Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series champion is planning to compete in Saturday's Short Track Super Series Elite season opener at the half-mile Maryland dirt track.
McCreadie will be behind the wheel of the No. 66 Atlas Paving Modified owned by the Petruska family, a car he drove to victory lane in last year's Eastern States Past Champions Race at Orange County Fair Speedway.
Prior to becoming a star in the Dirt Late Model ranks, McCreadie made a name for himself in the Modified world with 21 career Super DIRTcar Series wins, among many other accolades.
As "T-Mac" has toured the country competing in Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series races and other dirt late model events in recent years, his time behind the wheel of a Big-Block Modified has been reduced. However, he still attempts to race a Modified when the opportunity arises and doesn't conflict with his schedule.
The Short Track Super Series Elite race at Hagerstown Speedway on Saturday, March 11 provided McCreadie with one of those opportunities to return to his roots.
Paylor Motorsports will enjoy the next couple of weekends off before returning to competition in the next two @lucasdirt contests at @AtomicSpeedway & @btownspeedway on March 17-18. However, @TimMccreadie is scheduled to compete with @ShortTrackSS on March 11 at @Hagerstownspdwy. pic.twitter.com/dleCPFlrMM

Saturday's race at Hagerstown will be the fifth Short Track Super Series start of McCreadie's career. His best previous finish was an 11th-place finish at New Egypt Speedway in 2015.
McCreadie has four wins in 21 career starts at Hagerstown Speedway, with his most recent win coming in 2021 with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.
The $12,000-to-win "Mods In The Mid-Atlantic" event at Hagerstown serves as Round No. 1 for both the Short Track Super Series Elite and Short Track Super Series South Region.
On-track activity begins at 3 p.m. ET, with racing to follow at approximately 4 p.m. ET.
